SPRING MEETING (April 8-9, 2009)
ICRA WORKSHOP EVALUATION
HOSTED BY UIHC
Banging above! (3/5 for conducive learning environment)
Aids were helpful when handed out.
Relationship of Content of this Program to My Job
Program was very well planned. Very smooth & excellent presentations.
One of the best Iowa conferences I've been to.
Good job to the organizers, coordinators and SHRI staff.
Dr.Buatti talked about brain xrt VS pancreas - didn't really go with program. Having resources at the U of I is wonderful to be able to bring to registries in state that do not interact with medical staff. Thank you.
Excellent program and food!!!
The program is well organized. Appreciate the line of speakers and their knowledge and credentials.
Good program. Very interesting.
Great speakers and I learned a lot.
Very good info on all subjects.
Room was a little chilly.
Lunch was awesome!!
Nice room & set up.
Good number of prizes.
ACS navigator Cancer Info Service interesting but why do we care about these? ACS Navigator people already drill this stuff in our heads and it is redundant.
The Facilities for This Offering Were...
Too bad about the roofing.
The room was chilly!
Excellent speakers with good presentations.
Thought there should have been a brief update on ICRA
Thanks for your hard work preparing for this meeting.
Great food! Nice gifts! Very informative and knowledgeable speakers! Thank you! Roof work distracting.
Best workshop I've been to in a long time! Good work.
Too bad about the roof work!
Megan was a great speaker for the end of the day! She was happy and excited and kept people involved!
Very good - noise?
Nice job on topics, nice folders, great speakers. Good job! Very comfortable. Great food/drink. Great facility. Great organization of meeting.
Lunch and snacks were excellent! Thanks!
Still a bit drafty and still with distracting noises from some exterior source.
I think we need a little more room as we have more people attending. [Above avg] except it's cold.
Cold and then hot, room temp off and on. Good food. There was a loud noise overhead which was distracting.
Great food! Lunch was wonderful.
Found a very helpful group here in Iowa. Well planned and very knowledgeable group of speakers. Thank you! Great! Great! Great!
Have meeting on Fridays please!
Excellent speakers today and yummy, excellent food!! Best ever!
Wonderful speakers - thanks UIHC Cancer Registry! Great food! You all did a wonderful job on today's workshop. The food was also wonderful.
Great food, wasn't cold like fall meeting, great prizes - very good!
Nice to have help w/registration instead of having to tackle that & everything else.
Coffee and breakfast always a plus! Good food!
Very well organized, on time, friendly personnel, great food!!
Applicable to our jobs.
Very good mtg! Very good food (snacks & lunch).
Very good job UIHC!! Lots of good feedback on food & program!
Speakers - lots of great comments on speakers & how schedule ran really well. People said they liked all the food out and not having to search for it!
Great program. Dr.Platz is always a wonderful speaker and has great pictures. Was wonderful lunch - would suggest sandwich/soup/fruit bar was a great way to feed. Thank you for hosting.
One of the best meetings in a long time.
Please Please have meeting on fridays!
Date for mtg was horrible. Mandatory meeting for our department. Interfered with major Jewish holiday. Please take holidays into consideration in the future. Food was awesome - lots of good speakers. Appreciate everyone's hard work in putting together a good conference.
Great workshop - good job - food great. Thank you. Very helpful. Very enjoyable. Lunch was great! Wish Rad. Oncologist talked more about radiation treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Wish we had a medical oncologist to speak about pancreatic cancer treatment as some pancreatic cancers are chemo treated.
Lunch was great - kept program speakers going.
I think doctor sessions 45 minutes long would be better.
Very nice. Radiation section was excellent, little info related to pancreas cancer.
Suggestions for Future Workshop Topics
Using the data topics.
New data collection terms Lungs and dietary
Is it possible to have fall meeting in Des Moines or a more central location? Ovary extent of dz codes.
More exposured U of I phy.
CS training for most sites, the new changes 2010.
While this may not affect everyone, but something to consider next spring when scheduling a meeting is to avoid the week before Easter as this is 'holy week' and many churches have events all week including Monday-Thurs, etc.
Always have surgeon present - you learn the most.
I think today's meeting can be a blue print in organizing future workshops.
Stick to single cancer/topic and have speakers talk about aspects as they have done today.
Good workshop - all presenters were very interesting.
